About Us
What we do
The aims of TRLA are to promote greater involvement by local communities throughout the Upper Namoi catchment in Landcare activities and improved Natural Resource Management, resulting in the increased economic, social and environmental sustainability of local communities.
TRLA assists in achieving sustainable natural resource management by increasing opportunities for the development and capacity building of Landcare groups and other community groups by:
Improved knowledge and awareness of high prority issues identified in the Namoi Catchment Area and other local, State and Federal natural resource managers.
Targeting our activities to those identified in strategic plans developed by catchment authorities and by local Landcare communities.
Coordinating and assisting community members to plan and implement on-ground works.
Increasing the number and diversity of community groups and individuals working on natural resource management projects.
TRLA strives to:
Form productive partnerships
Support local Landcare groups
Network
Facilitate demonstations of "best practice"
Improve knowledge and awareness of high priority issues
Act as a conduit and represent local issue on a regional scale
Apply for grants to address local environmental issues

If you would like to become a member of TamworthRegional Landcare Association, simply fill in a membership form and return to us. You will be added to our database and will receive our TRLA newsletter.
Join us for our public meetings which are held at 6.30 pm on the third Tuesday of selected months. Supper and guest speakers are arranged and members will be advised of the dates.
Our Committee
As an incorporated body, under the Fair Trading agreement, TRLA is a structured organisation with positions elected yearly. The committee meets monthly at 5.15pm on the third Tuesday of the month.

Sub-Committees
Sub-committees are formed from members of TRLA with a particular interest. For example, Landcare in Schools. They meet as required.
Linkages
TRLA is a member of the Landcare New England North West Network of Landcare organisations. One of our comittee regularly attends meetings of the New England North West Network chairs.
